Born and raised in Brazil, Marina Elliot moved to America at 17 years old to pursue higher education. She graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs in 2006 with a 3.5 GPA and went on to explore a career in the insurance industry.
In 2014, she moved her family to Surfside after her husband, who practices in the areas of commercial real estate and corporate/business law, was recruited to work in a large law firm in downtown Miami. During this move she transitioned into the area of staffing and recruiting.
Throughout her career she handled critical matters. In insurance, Marina handled high value claims with serious injuries (including death and dismemberment) which occasionally involved litigation and trial. In recruiting, she handled her candidate’s livelihoods and lifetime career changes. Both positions had constant high level stress situations and intense negotiations which she was able to absorb and handle on behalf of her customers.
As a result of these life experiences, she has acquired extraordinary negotiation skills and has learned the true meaning of customer service. “My background in claims adjusting and recruiting has prepared me to understand just how important a real estate transaction is, this may or may not be the largest financial transaction in someone’s life and must be handled with kids gloves.” Her passion of helping people is apparent. Marina takes pride in being 100% transparent in all of her transactions.
Marina a member of BNI Action, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, the non-profit organization of 100 women who care, a developing leader of NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and serves as co-chair for the Aventura Marketing Council’s real estate committee.
Marina is a fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
