South Beach, popularly known as SoBe, is the Miami Beach neighborhood between First Street and 25th Street, covering about a 2.5 mile area at the southernmost portion of Miami Beach.
In 1979, the Art Deco District in South Beach was listed on the National Register of Historic Places with the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world. These buildings include motels, hotels, apartments, and structures that were erected between 1923 and 1943.
